Culinary Director Richard Ekkebus and Executive Pastry Chef Carles Codina from The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong proudly unveil the French traditional, much-loved pastry for the LMO Freshly Baked Series – Galette des Rois, the “cake of Kings”, paying tribute to the 14th Century tradition that is celebrated on 6 January or the first Sunday following the New Year’s Day, the holiday of Epiphany in France.
Crafted with top-notch ingredients, the flaky Galette des Rois is reimagined with French’s A.O.P. Butter for its fine buttery and nutty flavours, filled with Almond & Bourbon Vanilla frangipane and baked until turning deep golden brown in colour. Each bite is a symphony of texture and flavours that beautifully elevates with the essence of fluffiness, offering a masterful blend of nutty richness and exquisiteness for bespoke enjoyment.

The irresistible delicacy is also a perfect delight for family and friends’ gatherings, as the lucky one will be finding themselves a playfully designed fève designed from the Galette des Rois, and crowned as the King or Queen with blessings.
